Eli Manning comments on post-Super Bowl melee and hosting SNL

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning joined the show to talk about his offseason and more.

Eli explained why it seemed he blew off Dan giving him keys to car after the Super Bowl. Eli said it was just chaos and he didn’t realize what was going on.

Dan asked if he was more nervous before the Super Bowl or hosting Saturday Night Live.  “Neither one,” Manning said. The Super Bowl is a little [never-wracking]. You want to get out there and get that first completion. As for Saturday Night Live … doing live doesn’t bother me. I do live every Sunday.”

Dan asked if Eli wears his ring ever. ” I wore it to dinner one night when I was going to see my family so they could see it for the first time,” Eli said. “It’s hard to wear a lot. I’m not used to wearing a huge, flashy ring. It looks better on a lineman’s hand because they have bigger hands.”

Dan asked if Eli could play right now. Eli said he thinks so. Dan asked if was weird to see Peyton in an orange jersey. “We did a commercial a few weeks ago and he was wearing the Broncos jersey,” Eli said. “It looks a little different. … It takes a little time to get used to.”
