George Karl says momentum swinging toward Celtics and Thunder
Denver Nuggets coach George Karl joined the show to share his perspective on the NBA Playoffs.
Karl said that the Celtics seem to be growing in confidence … “even though deep down inside I think the Heat still wins.”
Karl said the key to stopping the Heat is switching on picks, crowding LeBron James and double-teaming Dwyane Wade.
Karl talked about why LeBron struggles at the end of games. Karl said he’s not as aggressive at the end of games because he’s not confident in his outside shooting and free throws. Karl said that he expects LeBron to go down to the low post more in Game 5.
Karl thinks the confidence has also swung in the West, toward Oklahoma City. Karl said the big guys are more involved for the Thunder, and they know Kevin Durant needs to have the ball in his hands at the end of a game. Karl said he’s the one player that can score over great defense.
