Cornbread Maxwell says KG moving to center one of keys to Celtics’ success
Boston Celtics broadcaster Cedric “Cornbread” Maxwell joined guest host Bonnie Bernstein to talk about the Celtics-Heat series.
Maxwell talked about how Kevin Garnett has been flexible and switched position this season. Maxwell said he had to fill in at center and it works because they’re no dinosaurs like Shaquille O’Neal any more.
Maxwell also explained that the key for the Heat having Chris Bosh is to take Garnett away from the basket so he can’t bother LeBron James and Dwyane Wade in the paint.
Maxwell said Doc Rivers’ best moves this series have been changing looks on defense and sticking with Mickael Pietrus.
Maxwell likes the Celtics to win tonight, but is slightly concerned that LeBron will step up and erase all the negative comments made about him.
Maxwell had interesting comments on the Oklahoma City Thunder. He doesn’t think the Thunder will necessarily blow through the Finals. He said they key is Russell Westbrook playing consistently.
