Brent Barry says Thunder out of rhythm, don’t criticize Westbrook
NBA Network analyst Brent Barry joined the show to talk about the Thunder-Heat series and more.
Barry said one of the Thunder’s big problem is James Harden having to defend LeBron James. “It’s taking some toll on him to have to defend on the other end,” Barry said.
Barry said overall foul trouble is messing up the Thunder’s rhythm.
Barry also said that people misunderstand Russell Westbrook’s role. “It makes me sick to my stomach that people keep calling him a point guard” Barry said. “Oklahoma City does not play the kind of offense with a traditional point guard.” Barry said he doesn’t freak out about Russell. Barry says he’s doing what he’s coached to do.
Barry pointed out Dwyane Wade does the same thing as Westbrook for Miami and no one rips Wade for being too aggressive offensively.
