Chris Mannix breaks down Jeremy Lin offer, Dwight Howard’s future
Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix joined the show to talk about Jeremy Lin, Dwight Howard and everything going on in the NBA.
Mannix said that the Rockets adding a balloon payment in the third year of Lin’s contract is what gave the Knicks pause. Mannix thinks they were going to match offers for Lin until that happened and now it looks like Lin might go to Houston.
Dan asked Mannix what he thinks about Carmelo Anthony’s comments that the Rockets’ offer is “ridiculous.” “Carmelo is 100 percent right,” Mannix said. Mannix said we don’t know what Lin will be and he could be a backup.
Mannix thinks that Howard isn’t going anywhere, because the right trade just isn’t coming up.
Mannix also commented on the Olympics. He thinks that the U.S. will win no matter how many guys they lose to injury.
