Adam Krikorian talks about his bad timeout that almost coast U.S. water polo team
U.S. women’s water polo coach Adam Krikorian joined guest host Glenn Ordway to talk about mistakenly calling a timeout that almost cost his team a match.
“Obviously a huge mistake on my part,” Kirikorian said. “I thought we had possession of the ball. The officials didn’t think so.”
Krikorian said he called the timeout because he though his goalie had the ball and didn’t want a defender close to the goal pushing the ball in.
“Ultimately, I’m glad I did,” Krikorian said. “It put our team in a tough situation. And they proved once again what they’re made of.”
Krikorian said all his buddies are sending him texts making fun of him. Krikorian said he’s not Chris Webber though, because he didn’t travel and they did have a timeout.
