Kevin Ding comments on impact of Lakers getting Dwight Howard
Orange County Register Lakers reporter Kevin Ding joined the show to talk about the Lakers trading for Dwight Howard.
Ding said Lakers management was very smart to “slow-play” their efforts to get Dwight Howard. Ding said that they also tried to quiet down the prospect Andrew Bynum will have trouble staying healthy.
Ding said the Lakers went from the second-best center in the NBA to the first. “That’s a gulf of a jump really,” Ding said.
Ding also said that this will make life easier for Kobe Bryant. “Kobe is going to be truly grateful in this situation,” Ding said. He said that teammates will appreciate having Howard help them defensively.
