Peter King on Chad Johnson, Cowboys’ issues, rookie QBs

Sports Illustrated’s Peter King joined the show to talk about the big preseason storylines.

King weighed in on Chad Johnson. He was in Dolphins camp and saw some of Johnson’s behavior and comments. He said it was kind of funny, but there was something off.

Dan asked King why the Dolphins even tried the Johnson experiment in the first place. “They need receivers,” King said. “That’s the one position they haven’t spent a lot of money and a lot of energy [on].”

King also commented on the Cowboys. He said that the Jason Witten situation is even worse because they lost Martellus Bennett. But he said they have some good players, like DeMarcus Ware.

King expects four rookie quarterbacks will start in Week 1: Andrew Luck, Robert Griffin, Brandon Weeden and Ryan Tannehill.

King talked about some of the teams he wants to pick for the Super Bowl: Denver and Kansas City jump to him as darkhorses. King also said “how can I not pick the Patriots?”
