Robin Ventura on how to argue with umps, Mike Trout’s speed, White Sox’s expectations

Chicago White Sox manager Robin Ventura joined the show to talk about his season and more.

Ventura talked about arguing with umps. He said he’s been kicked out of three games this year. “It’s not always bad words I’m saying,” Ventura said. “The other day with Jim Joyce, we were just talking. You start talking about balls and strikes, you get [run].”

Ventura talked about his admiration for Mike Trout. He said what’s incredible about Trout is his speed. “They almost have to come out and rake the field when he runs,” Ventura said.

Dan asked Ventura about his expectations. Ventura said the White Sox are as good as anyone, but it’s tough to predict what will happen in the postseason.
