Archie Manning weighs in on Peyton and Eli’s mindset
Archie Manning joined the show to talk about his sons’ Week 1 performances and more.
Manning commented on Peyton’s development so far and his big win over Pittsburgh on Sunday. “I don’t think he’s misleading anybody that he can still get better and take another step,” Archie said. “If you’re a quarterback int he NFL and you win a game against the Steelers, that’s always satisfying.”
Archie talked about Peyton’s mindset when things were falling apart in Indianapolis. “He kind of built in his mind I’m supposed to play my whole career in one place,” Archie said. “When it didn’t happen, it was kind of tough on him.”
Dan then asked about Eli, after his loss to the Cowboys in Week 1. “Fine,” Archie said. “You know Eli, he’s never different.”
