Dan McNeil says Bears have legitimate problems

Chicago Tribune columnist Dan McNeil joined the show to talk about the Bears’ loss to the Packers.

“My God what a disastrous performance after the honeymoon [since they signed] Brandon Marshall,” McNeil said.

McNeil said that Jay Cutler has played poorly against the Packers and isn’t in the position to call others out. And he said that Cutler didn’t act like a team player after the game.

McNeil said that he thought this was an “above-average” team coming into the season, not a contender. He said that the blemishes came out last night.

“There is no ability to protect Cutler on this team against good pass-rushing teams,” McNeil.

And McNeil said Brian Urlacher looks very mortal and there’s good reason to suspect the 34-year-old linebacker is approaching the end of the line.
