Harold Reynolds weighs in on Yankees’ offensive struggles
MLB Network analyst Harold Reynolds joined the show to break down the playoffs.
Reynolds said he’s been trying to figure out why scoring is so low in the Yankees-Orioles series. “I gotta give the Orioles pitching credt,” Reyolds said. “But I also gotta question what in the world is going on with Yankees hitters.”
Reynolds said that Alex Rodriguez is starting to regress. But he’s also looking at Curtis Granderson, Nick Swisher and Mark Teixeira all have come up short.
Reynolds wouldn’t buy an argument that’s out there A-Rod has struggled since he’s been clean. Reynolds said he’s too talented for that.
Reynolds had interesting comments on Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg. He said it hurts to see him on the side throwing. Reynolds said there’s just too big a risk they’ll never get back. Reynolds said that he’s gotten to know Strasburg a little and is pretty sure that he wants to be playing.
