Andy Staples says officials got it right at end of Notre Dame-Stanford

Sports Illustrated’s Andy Staples joined the show to talk about the big stories in college football.

Staples said he thinks the officials got it right at the end of the Notre Dame-Stanford. He said forward progress stopped and some Notre Dame players were already celebrating. He said, however, that the officials had screwed up big plays earlier in the game.

Staples said that he wouldn’t consider Notre Dame LB Manti T’eo for the Heisman. “Unlike most Heisman voters, I realize there are 22 players on the field,” Staples said. “Manti T’eo is a force on one of the best defenses in the League.”

Staples weighed in on the West Virginia loss. He said the Mountaineers don’t play defense and eventually they were going to have a game like this.
