Cris Collinsworth breaks down Cowboys-Falcons game

NBC NFL broadcaster Cris Collinsworth joined the show to talk about the big storylines in the NFL.

Collinsworth weighed in on the Cowboys. He said that Rob Ryan’s defense can match up with pretty much anyone. And they need to have that ability against the Falcons’ array of weapons.

But Collinsworth said that with DeMarco Murray out and Felix Jones being banged up the Cowboys can’t run. And they turn the ball over, which is the reason they’ve struggled this year.

Collinsworth had a lot of praise for Dolphins coach Joe Philbin. “He’s not this flashy character,” Collinsworth said. “He’s not going to wow the media. … He’s an impressive guy.”

Collinsworth also had a lot of praise for Colts interim coach Bruce Arians, who he said is an older guy that is hip enough to relate to young players.

Dan asked Collinsworth about his speed. He was actually a 100-yard dash champion in high school.
