Howie Long on Bradshaw comment, Eagles' woes
FOX NFL analyst Howie Long joined the show to talk about the big stories in the NFL and more.
Dan asked Johnson about a recent controversial topic – what did Terry Bradshaw mean when he said Reggie Bush ran like he was “chasing that bucket of chicken.” Long said that was a reference to Johnson eating fried chicken on Sundays because his wife won’t let him eat that when she’s there.
“It wasn’t even poorly phrased,” Long said. “It was specifically directed at Jimmy Johnson.”
Long broke down the Eagles’ problems. He started with the offensive line.
“It all started when [left tackle] Jason Peters went down,” Long said. “When that guy goes down, it has a domino effect on the whole line.”
Long said that now it’s a matter of momentum. “For whatever reason,” Long said, “when it starts to go South, it just starts to snowball.”
Long talked about his son Kyle, who is an offensive lineman at Oregon. He said he’s 6-7, 320 pounds and strong. “It’s just roll out of bed strong,” Long said
