Moose Johnston says Vick concussion problems may have started earlier in season
FOX analyst Daryl “Moose” Johnston joined the show to talk about some of the big issues in the NFL.
Johnston commented on the severity of Michael Vick’s concussion. Johnston said he was surprised that the Eagles didn’t sit Vick during the Lions game in Week 6. Johnston called that game and said Vick got roughed up and showed concussion symptoms.
“There was a time in the second quarter where he wasn’t cognizant of what was going on,” Johnston said. “It could be something that has been there the last couple of weeks.”
Johnston also weighed in on some hot teams. He said the Saints are the team he wouldn’t want to play. “Everything we heard in New Orleans over the weekend was, we’re getting back to a sense of normalcy,” Johnston said.
Johnston covered New Orleans early in the season and thinks it was harder to adjust to the coaching and front office losses.
prJohnston weighed in on the Jets’ quarterback situation. He said that Sanchez hasn’t progressed this season. He said he’s been hurt by the Darrelle Revis injury and the defense taking a step back. But Johnston said if they change to Tim Tebow, it’s a permanent solution. “Once you make that change, it has to be for the rest of the season,” Moose said.
