Patrick Ewing on Dwight Howard's future, Big East falling apart

Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing joined the show to talk about the big stories around the League and being at the Knicks-Lakers game last night.

Ewing said the atmosphere at Madison Square Garden was like when he was playing. He said he thinks the Knicks are very good this year — behind Miami, but right there with everyone else.

Ewing commented on the struggles of Dwight Howard in Los Angeles. He said that it could be a spacing issue in L.A. — the Magic had great spacing to give Howard room.

Dan asked if he thinks Dwight Howard will re-sign with the Lakers. “That’s yet to be determined,” Ewing said .”It all depends on how they finish.” Ewing thinks that Howard’s problem in Orlando was the people advising him.

Dan asked Ewing his take on the Big East changing. “I’m so disappointed,” Ewing said. “They shouldn’t have let all those football schools in in the first place. … There’s a lot of money in football.”
