Greg Jennings rooting for Adrian Peterson to break record

Green Bay Packers receiver Greg Jennings joined the show to talk about his season and more.

Jennings talked about why Jermichael Finley speaks out about his role. Jennings said it could be because of the Packers offense. Jennings said that in the Green Bay offense, they spread the ball and one receiver isn’t going to be consistently targeted week to week.

Dan and Jennings joked about strategies for getting more targets. Dan suggested buying Aaron Rodgers a Christmas present, but Jennings wouldn’t bite.

Jennings had an interesting take on Adrian Peterson chasing Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record: “I want him to do it,” Jennings said. “It’s impressive to see a player dominate like that. … It’s almost devastating if he gets that close and doesn’t get it.”

Jennings also talked about Brian Urlacher ripping Bears fans for booing. Jennings said that it started because Chicago fans were upset the Bears didn’t go for it on fourth down at the end of the half. But Jennings said that it was a tough spot, because if they had gone for it and missed, they may have let up a score. Jennings said Philadelphia fans are the worst and they’ll throw anything they can at you.
