Jerome Bettis talks about going head-to-head with Ray Lewis
Former Steeler Jerome Bettis joined the show to share his thoughts on Ray Lewis’ impending retirement and more.
He said when he went against Lewis, he’d know they’d be playing all 60 minutes. Bettis said he did get Lewis pretty good late in his career, but Lewis had some licks. He said that Lewis was actually smaller than him.
Bettis thinks that Lewis announced this now so he could fire up the troops. “He wants to get that team motivated,” Bettis said.
Bettis weighed in on Steelers coordinator Todd Haley, who is reportedly a candidate for the Cardinals job. He said that Haley didn’t have a full chance with Pittsburgh because of injuries.
