Troy Aikman explains why Redskins didn't pull RGIII

FOX’s Troy Aikman joined the show to talk about Robert Griffin III’s injury and more.

Aikman, who called the Redskins-Seahawks game, said part of the reason the Redskins didn’t pull Robert Griffin III was because they jumped out to the lead. And he said that RGIII wasn’t worse than he’d been the last couple of weeks. And Aikman said the doctors are the one who have to say he’s risking his long-term health — not Mike Shanahan.

Aikman said the Redskins now have to be worried they don’t have the long-term solution at quarterback. They thought they had a star for the next decade, but this is the second surgery on this knee.

Aikman weighed in on the Cowboys’ coaching situation. He said that Jerry Jones really wants Jason Garrett to succeed. But they have a lot of work to do.
