Bob Costas on Te’o, Armstrong, Belichick
MLB Network and NBC broadcaster Bob Costas joined the show to talk about the big stories in sports.
Costas praised Oprah Winfrey for the job she did with the Lance Armstrong interview. He said he really liked the direct questions in the beginning.
Costas said that Lance was “one of the great unflinching liars” he’s interviewed.
Costas also weighed in on Manti Te’o. “A lot of this doesn’t add up,” Costas said.
Costas praised Shannon Sharpe for criticizing Bill Belichick. “You don’t have to act the way he acts so often,” Costas said. “Treating people with disdain and content. Part of that job is to do that postgame interview.”
