Jim Daopoulos says officials should have called holding at end of Super Bowl
NBC NFL officiating expert Jim Daopoulos joined the show to talk about the official not calling holding on Baltimore’s Jimmy Smith on San Francisco’s Michael Crabtree late in the Super Bowl.
“They want the receivers to run their routes unimpeded,” Daopoulos said. “You’ve got to make that call. It was a foul. You have to give him the opportunity to make that call.”
Dan asked if officials knowingly call things differently at the end of the game.
There shouldn’t be a difference in how they make that call,” Daopoulos said.
