Rodney Harrison: Not throwing flag late in game was ‘garbage’
NBC NFL analyst Rodney Harrison joined the show to share his thoughts on the Super Bowl.
Harrison said the Niners didn’t play their best game. “You could see the lack of experience,” Harrison said. “It’s almost as if they weren’t prepared for the moment.”
Harrison thought the officials should have called holding on the Ravens’ Jimmy Smith late in the fourth quarter. “It was garbage,” Harrison said. “You have to make the call. Regardless of the enormity of the moment, you still have to make that call. He grabbed him. … I know officials are afraid to make that call, but you gotta show some cajones.”
Harrison was very impressed with Joe Flacco. “The one thing I like about him is the poise he shows,” Harrison said. “I think he proved a lot of people wrong. The Ravens are going to have to pay him.”
Harrison said the coaches didn’t put Colin Kaepernick in the best position to succeed. Harrison said the coaches should have treated it like a regular season game.
