Ray Rice shares behind-scenes stories from Super Bowl

Ravens running back Ray Rice joined the show to talk about winning the Super Bowl.

Dan asked Rice what the offensive players were doing on the Niners’ final run. “We were planning for worst-case scenario,” Rice said. “We have faith in our defense. But as an offense you have to stay ready. “

Rice said that Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco was showing his personality when he said that they should have ran on to the field and tackled Ted Ginn Jr. if he broke the final kickoff of the game.

Rice had high praise for Flacco.“Right now he is the best quarterback in the NFL,” Rice said. “He wants to be a Hall of Fame guy. He definitely proved it this year.”

Rice also talked about the blackout and said it had a major impact on the team. He said he was stiff and didn’t loosen up until the fourth quarter.

Rice also commented on falling off the parade float. He said the driver stopped short and it was his “worst fall of the year.” Rice said his teammates called it “athletic stuff.”

Rice also said that owner Steve Bisciotti has to get the championship ring “iced out” so he can look good.
