Brent Barry weighs in on NBA trade deadline, shares Jordan story

NBA TV’s Brent Barry joined the show to talk about All-Star Weekend and more.

Barry said that he doesn’t see Kevin Garnett being traded before the deadline. He thinks that only one big player has a chance of being moved.

“Josh Smith is the most heavily discussed guy,” Barry said. “As [Hawks GM] Danny Ferry tries to create some cap space.”

Dan also asked Barry his favorite Michael Jordan story. Barry told a very funny story about trying to cover Jordan. He said that he once thought he had him covered on a fade-away jumper. He jumped at the same time and thought he had him, but Jordan kept going higher. He made the shot and ran down the court and said, “Good try Brent.”
