Mike Florio says teams want to know if Te’o is gay; 49ers, Cardinals may be trying to fool teams
Profootballtalk’s Mike Florio joined the show to share his opinion on all the stories coming out of the NFL Scouting Combine. Here are some of his takes:
— Florio weighed in on the real story with Manti Te’o. “Teams want to know if Manti Te’o is gay,” Florio said. “I don’t think anyone knows how to solve this dilemma yet.”
— Florio thinks that reports the Cardinals love Matt Barkley is subterfuge. He said that head coach Bruce Arians probably likes Geno Smith and wants to make sure no one moves ahead of them to take him.
— Florio said he thinks the 49ers are trying to generate a trade market by leaking they had a deal done for Alex Smith. He didn’t buy the report there’s a done deal.
— Florio thinks that there’s a good chance that the Ravens could slap the non-exclusive franchise tag on Joe Flacco and it could create a situation where someone makes him a big offer as a restricted free agent.
