Brian Urlacher discusses future, says agent talked to Minnesota, Dallas, Arizona

Free agent linebacker Brian Urlacher joined the show to talk about what happened with the Chicago Bears and more.

Urlacher said that the Bears clearly didn’t want him because they wouldn’t listen to his counter-offer on a contract. He said he felt all offseason that it wouldn’t work. “There was no dialogue between my agent and the Bears,” Urlacher said. “I had a bad feeling the whole time.”

But Urlacher said that he isn’t angry with the Bears owners. “I really have no hard feelings toward the McCaskeys,” Urlacher said. “I understand it’s a business.”

He said that he believes he’d still be a Bear if Lovie Smith was still the coach.

Urlacher confirmed his agent talked to Minnesota, Dallas and Arizona. Urlacher said he hadn’t heard Denver, but it would be nice to play for a winner. Urlacher said he’s been hearing a lot about Atlanta, although for now that is coming from the outside.

Urlacher was also quite depressed about his New Mexico Lobos losing in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to Harvard.
