Jason Cole says teams questioned Geno Smith’s ability to be a leader as a QB
Yahoo’s Jason Cole joined the show to talk about his story on Geno Smith’s issues during the team interview process before the Draft. Cole explained that a lot of this came out after the Draft because teams are more open about what happened. Cole said a picture of emerged of an immature person who may not be ready to be a quarterback for an NFL team. Cole said that there are a lot of signs that Smith’s emotional responses are “angry and knee-jerk” and that won’t work in New York very well.
Dan asked Cole if he dropped because of football or personality. “I think his personality dropped him at the end,” Cole said.
