Brandel Chamblee says Merion not a pushover for U.S. Open

Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee joined the show to talk about the U.S. Open and the weather.

Chamblee said that they did make the course tougher — especially the last few holes, which are very difficult.

Chamblee commented on how the weather may affect the results. “More people have a chance to win when the golf course plays soft,” Chamblee said. He did, however, say that Tiger Woods is the favorite — just not the overwhelming favorite.

Chamblee commented on Sergio Garcia and said he thinks that the golfer has tried to make amends to Tiger. Chamblee said Tiger has given him a tough reception — and maybe rightfully so.
