Bruce Feldman explains why broker would out Manziel for signing items
CBSSports.com’s Bruce Feldman joined the show to talk about allegations that Johnny Manziel signed things for money.
Feldman explained that several memorabilia dealers felt spurned by an eBay decision to ban accounts that had Johnny Manziel items when he patented “Johnny Football.”
Feldman said he’s talked to coaches who believe their players probably took money at some point for signing things. “They see everyone else making money off them,” Feldman said. “It’d be foolish to think some of these guys haven’t accepted [money].”
Feldman said that the NCAA is concerned if they allow players to make money off their likeness, nothing can stop an agent from offering a huge amount of money for an ordinary signing.
