Scott Pioli talks about scouting Stanford, Notre Dame and says Jags turning things around

NBC NFL analyst Scott Pioli joined the show to talk about the upcoming season and his recent time watch college teams Stanford and Notre Dame.

Pioli was very impressed with the way the Stanford and Notre Dame coaches ran their teams. He said Stanford’s David Shaw is one of the best coaches in the land and can understand why everyone is excited about the Cardinal. He also said don’t count out Notre Dame, who has several good players.

Pioli had very interesting comments on the Jacksonville Jaguars. He said they might not win much this year, but they have some quality people who will turn that franchise around.

Pioli told a great story about cutting players. Once in Cleveland he was the guy who had to grab the guys and bring them to Bill Belichick’s office. Pioli said that he thought one guy was going to throw him off the top of a stairwell.
