Hines Ward says his Steelers never flopped to slow down game
NBC NFL analyst Hines Ward (@mvp86hinesward) joined the show to talk about the big preseason NFL storylines.
— Ward said that there’s a lot of pressure on Geno Smith because there’s a black cloud hanging over the Jets franchise. Smith has more pressure than E.J. Manuel in Buffalo. But he said Smith doesn’t have a supporting cast.
— Ward said there was no flopping in Pittsburgh to slow down opposing fast-paced offenses. It may happen, but not on his team.
— Ward, who played with Ben Roethlisberger as a rookie, talked about how it’s the receiver’s job to help young quarterbacks and make plays.
— Ward said the Ravens’ offense could suffer because it doesn’t have a possession receiver to complement Torrey Smith.
