Victor Cruz on Manning vs. Manning, Eagles offense and Jay-Z
New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz joined the show to talk about their season-opening loss to the Cowboys and how they plan to fix things moving forward.
The two Mannings are facing off Sunday when the Broncos come to New York. Dan asked Cruz if his brother was playing against him, would he give his coach a scouting report. “Absolutely,” Cruz said. “This is what you do. You need every advantage to win. … It’s not like you’re telling him. We’re not 8 years old again. “
Cruz commented on new rules about hitting. He doesn’t have as big a problem as everyone else. “If you go from knee to shoulder,” Cruz said, “you’re going to be fine.”
Dan asked Cruz the last time he talked to Jay-Z. “Yesterday to talk about the game a little bit,” Cruz said. “He’s a Cowboys fan. He’s a Victor Cruz fan when he’s playing the Cowboys.
Cruz also stuck up for a cold-weather Super Bowl. He said it could be like an NFL Films classic that we all grew up with.
