Oklahoman’s Berry Tramel says Texas suffers from poor talent evaluation
Oklahoman columnist Berry Tramel joined the show to talk about Texas’ struggles, Nebraska’s Bo Pelini and more.
Tramel said that Mack Brown has a strong base in Texas, but that base is aging. Dan asked Tramel what the problem was and he said talent evaluation. “Texas generally gets whoever it wants,” Tramel said. “It’s just wanting the wrong guys.”
Tramel also weighed in on Nebraska coach Bo Pelini. He said that he should be OK, but he better not lose too much.
“I do think there are serious questions up there,” Pelini said. “In terms of colelge football fan bases and administrations, Nebraska is one of the saner places.”
Tramel said that Nebraska is in a tough spot because they can’t recruit in Texas now that they’re in the Big Ten.
