Ronnie Lott relives losing his finger during career

Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott joined the show to talk about Cardinals safety Rashad Johnson losing part of his finger and how it compares to what happened to him during his playing days.

Lott looked back at his decision to cut off part of his finger to play in a game. He said it makes him think of Pat Tillman and sacrifice. If military people can do what they can do, he can sacrifice something for something bigger than him.

Dan asked Lott if he could play in today’s NFL. Lott said that you have to learn and change throughout your career. “I would go out, like a lot of young kids do ever day, and learn how to change,” Lott said. In fact, he said he’d be excited for the challenge: “That’s the art of why you’re a professional.”
