Cris Collinsworth: Romo had one of great games in NFL history – physically
NBC’s Cris Collinsworth joined the show to talk about the big stories in the NFL.
Collinsworth talked about Peyton Manning and Tony Romo last Sunday:
“Intellectually it was one of the most brilliant games I’ve seen by Peyton Manning,” Collinsworth said. “Physically, it may have been one of the greatest games I’ve ever seen. … Until that last throw it was perfect. In my mind, it was like a pitcher throwing a perfect game and giving up a solo home run with two outs in the ninth inning.”
Collinsworth said that there were several factors that contributed to the late interception by Romo. He said Romo tripped on a lineman’s foot, he had no pocket and had to short arm the throw, his receiver was interfered with and his receiver failed to square off the route and let the defender in.
