Josh Freeman talks about what went wrong in Tampa, how things became personal

New Minnesota Vikings quarterback Josh Freeman joined the show to talk about starting this week.

Freeman explained what he thinks happened in Tampa Bay. “They didn’t see me as the guy,” Freeman. “I strongly disagree with that. At the same time, it’s not my decision to make.”

Dan asked Freaman if when they drafted Mike Glennon, did he see the writing on the wall. “No, I didn’t,” Freeman said. “I gotta call from coach after the game and said he’s a guy we want to develop.”

Dan said that he had a problem with it getting personal in Tampa Bay. “It did kind of seem personal coming from a number of different angles,” Freeman said. Freeman explained the toughest part was getting calls from people he was close to asking if he was alrigh.

Freeman explained that he’s familiar with offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave’s scheme because of the coaching tree.

“I’ve had quite a bit of work in this offense,” Freeman said.
