Mark Jackson says hazing not acceptable, clears up tif with Blake Griffin

Golden State Warriors coach Mark Jackson joined the show to talk about his season and some of the big stories around the League.

Jackson, a fan of all sports, weighed in on the Richie Incognito story. He said it was very disturbing. He did say that rookies in the NBA sometimes have to pay a dinner bill. And that he and Reggie Miller demanded a lot out of rookie Al Harrington. But he said it wasn’t hazing and that’s unacceptable.

Dan asked if he ever got hazed. “No, Dan, I had crazy game,” Jackson said. “They don’t haze you when you have game.”

Jackson also cleared up the story of how it seemed like he almost got into a fight with Clippers star Blake Griffin. Jackson said Griffin kept backing into him and he had to draw the line and say something. But Jackson said that it wasn’t personal or a big deal — he thinks Griffin is great. Jackson said there’s a lot of noise about the Clippers and they deserve that kind of attention.

Jackson also reiterated his claim that Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are the best shooting backcourt in NBA history and fended off Dan’s counter-arguments.
