Northern Illinois’ Jordan Lynch comments on Heisman race, BCS picture
Northern Illinois quarterback Jordan Lynch (@Jordanlynch06) joined the show to talk about his season and chances of winning the Heisman.
Dan asked if he would vote for himself for Heisman. “Yes,” Lynch said.
Then Dan asked if he wouldn’t vote for himself, then who? Lynch mentioned two candidates: A.J. McCarron and Boston College running back Andre Williams.
Lynch said Purdue and Illinois recruited him and wanted him to play another position like DB or RB.
“If I thought I wasn’t a quarterback,” Lynch said. “I would have taken offers someplace else.”
Lynch talked about his NFL future. He wants to be viewed as a quarterback, but would play another position if it would help him make the team.
Lynch also commented on their loss to Florida State in a BCS bowl last year. He said the game was closer then people remember and that he thought they were in the game.
