Cris Collinsworth explains why Peyton Manning yells “Omaha”

NBC NFL analyst Cris Collinsworth joined the show to talk about the playoffs and the coaching carousel.

Collinsworth tried to explain what Peyton Manning means when he yells “Omaha.” Collinsworth said that it basically means “hurry up” and the ball will be snapped on the next call.

Collinsworth commented on the balance between quarterback, coach and owner. Collinsworth said that he heard Robert Griffin III and his wife joined the owner and his wife to go to the movies — and that crosses a line.

Collinsworth said NBA players can have input on coaches. Now the NFL is heading in that direction, with quarterbacks having a say. “The whole thing is so foreign to me,” Collinsworth said. He used to be terrified of his coach, Forrest Gregg, and would turn away if he saw him coming down the hallway.
