Steve Kerr says he does want to coach at some point
TNT’s Steve Kerr talked about speculation he may end up coaching the Knicks under his friend Phil Jackson.
Dan asked Kerr if he was comfortable with the topic. “[It’s] very awkward, because it is just speculation and you’re talking about someone else’s job,” Kerr said.
Kerr did make it clear he wants to coach at some point. “I’ve been talking about it the last couple of years,” Kerr said. “At some point in my life, if there’s an opportunity that intrigues me, I may take it. … I’ve been broadcasting for eight years. I love visiting with the coaches beforehand and hearing how they’re trying to attack the other team. That’s the intriguing part of it for me. If I go down that path, it’s because of what I’ve experienced as a broadcaster and a player.
