Landon Donovan on World Cup, best player in World
Soccer star Landon Donovan (@landondonovan) joined the show to talk about the World Cup and much more.
Donovan said he hasn’t been told if he’s on the U.S. team yet, but he said he feels good about the team.
Dan asked Donovan the best player in the World right now. “Probably Christiano,” Donovan said, “but Mesi is great too.”
Donovan weighed in on what makes Mesi so special. “He moves in a way that normal soccer players don’t move,” Donovan said. “He gets in positions that other people can’t.”
Donovan weighed in on health risks of various sports. He said he would let his kids play soccer, but wouldn’t let his kids play football because it’s dangerous.
Donovan also told a funny story about kicking a guy in the man region in high school to get his only red card.
