Sally Jenkins: Patent ruling won’t be Redskins tipping point

Washington Post’s Sally Jenkins joined the show to talk about the possibility of the Redskins changing their name.

Dan asked her what the name of the team will be in five years. She said she expects it to be the Redskins and that the recent patent ruling is not the tipping point.

Jenkins said that the sentiment in the government is growing against Daniel Snyder. She said that the Senate, the President and now a government agency are now against him. Jenkins said, however, we all have to feel wary about the federal government making decisions like this.

Jenkins noted that Snyder is very defiant and that makes the government even angrier.

“If the man had any sense he would change the name to Warriors and Sports Illustrated would name him Sportsman of the Year,” Jenkins said.
