Jeff Fisher says he never had concern about Sam
St. Louis Rams coach Jeff Fisher joined the show to talk about Tony Dungy’s comments on Michael Sam.
Fisher said they never had concern about Sam: “If we had concern, we wouldn’t have drafted him. He was the best player on the board at that point.”
Fisher said distractions aren’t a problem: “There are no distractions in our building. … There may be an extra camera or two, but that’s not life-changing.”
Dan asked why he fell to the seventh round. Fisher said he didn’t know, but noted his poor Combine performance. “When the lights come on, he plays well,” Fisher said.
Fisher talked about when the Oprah documentary series came up. He said they all met and decided that postponing it indefinitely is the best approach. Fisher said they may revisit down the road.
