Howie Long: NFL has to keep due process as a priority
FOX’s Howie Long joined the show to talk about the scandals in the NFL and the state of the game.
Long said that he’s concerned that we pick and choose where to apply due process: “It’s startling, it’s sad …. but I think due process is extremely important.” Long said adhering to constitutional rights is easy some times — when it’s difficult that’s when things like due process and freedom of speech are most important.
Long also talked about locker room culture and how intimidating the Raiders’ locker room could be. He said you knew Lyle Alzado and John Matuszak were there. Dan asked Long to write a book on the old Raiders locker room. “That book can never be written,” Long said.
