Peter King on next steps for Roger Goodell
King said that he thinks Goodell should make a state of the union address. But King said that Goodell wants to be very clear on the new policies the NFL plans to institute in the coming weeks about domestic abuse. “His league is on fire,” King said. “He’s got to come out and talk now.”
King doesn’t think Adrian Peterson will play again this year. “Too many people have seen these photos,” King said.
Dan and King also had a very interesting conversation about Peyton Manning’s legacy and some of his struggles in the postseason. King said he thinks championships can be overrated. But he still thinks they could help Eli Manning. King said there’s a good reason to wait five years to vote … because of Kurt Warner. He said Warner had one of the oddest careers in NFL history.
King also weighed in on the way all the flags have changed the game this year. He thinks passing efficiency is going to be at an all-time high.
