Brady Hoke says he never would have put QB in harm’s way

Michigan coach Brady Hoke joined the show to talk about some of the struggles in Ann Arbor this season.

— Hoke talked about the controversy surrounding the team putting quarterback Shane Morris back into the game with a concussion. “From a personal side, people who know me, know better. Let’s put it that way.”

— Dan asked if opponents will use the Morris story on the recruiting trai. “Recruiting is recruiting,” Hoke said. “It’s always part of it. What hasn’t changed is this is Michigan.”

— Hoke explained why he doesn’t wear headsets: “It allows me to coach kids on the sideline. When a kid comes off. We talk fundamentals. Those guys are the experts.”

— Dan asked Hoke if he gets to pick the music in the locker room. “I usually get one song a week,” Hoke said. “This week it was Fire by the Ohio players. Usually it’s Sinatra.”
