Joe Maddon looking forward to try to break Cubs’ curse

New Chicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon joined the show to talk about his new gig and more.

Maddon explained that GM Andrew Friedman left and his “opt-out clause” kicked in. Maddon said it was a unique situation and it even took him a while to understand it. He said it’s “unfortunate” that the Rays are looking into tampering charges.

Maddon said that he won’t change his approach. He said he’ll preach staying in the present and patience.

Maddon likes the opportunity to break the Cubs’ long streak without winning the World Series.

Maddon also talked about how much he loved driving his own RV.
