NFLPA’s DeMaurice Smith says NFL is “inconsistent and arbitrary”
NFLPA chief DeMaurice Smith joined the show to talk about the NFLs decision to suspend Adrian Peterson for the rest of the season.
Smith said he was surprised at the lack of a consistent process.
Smith said that the NFL announced a new conduct policy (six games for domestic violence) without working with the union and then they blew off the six games and gave Ray Rice six games.
Smith said that when players due process is violated, the union must act regardless of what people think are right and wrong.
Smith said players see an unfair system. When our players see owners being treated differently, thats a problem, Smith said.
Smith said he plans to fight aggressively for Petersons rights.
