Michael Irvin on Marshawn Lynch, Cowboys’ MVP, Peyton’s arm strength

NFL Network’s Michael Irvin joined the show to talk about the big stories around the NFL. Here are some of his takes.

— Irvin said he doesn’t care what Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch says after the game, because “beasts don’t talk.” He said the ‘Hawks would be crazy to let him go over money.

— Irvin said “there’s something going on with Peyton Manning and no one’s saying anything.” He is concerned and thinks there’s something off with how they’re going with the running game.

— Irvin thinks DeMarco Murray is the MVP of the Cowboys.

— Dan asked Irvin if a quarterback had to be demonstrative to be a leader. Dan noted Troy Aikman wasn’t demonstrative. But Irvin pointed out that Aikman was very passionate about winning and that’s the key.

— Irvin weighed in on celebrations. He said that he started celebrations after getting a first down at Miami. And ironically, it was a 3-yard catch.

— Irvin also told some very fun Super Bowl celebration stories.
